Paris, 1977
At home in her Paris apartment, close to the time she published her third novel Rue de Nuit. I recently heard an interview of hers from the Institut français in Tel Aviv. She touched on a lot of topics, including her relationship with Romain Gary. Brings back certain memories from when I used to spend lots of time in cafes in that same area around Herzl and Rothschild, not far from my own former flat.

Kikar Dizengoff - 21/5/20
Israelis picnic and socialize in Tel Aviv's Dizengoff Square. Certain restrictions are being lifted, yet many regulations that limit dining and other indoor gatherings are still in place. Thus, even more than usual, Israelis have flocked to beaches, squares, and various outdoor public spaces.

La Seine
Parisians flock to the banks of the Seine on the first day of France's eased lockdown restrictions. Similar gatherings with very little social distancing took place on the Canal Saint-Martin leading to a ban on alcohol consumption in such places by French authorities.
