Around and Around

Tomorrow I'll be going back to the base to guard. since I've sort of revived this blog for the time being, maybe i'll do a quick spot sometime soon on the all out weirdness I see everyday in and around the wonderful city of Ramla.



For those that are unfamiliar with the Israel Defense Forces, each IDF unit has its own colored beret. the paratroopers for instance wear red, artillery - turquoise, intelligence - green, combat engineers - grey, armored corps - black, etc. It really makes for a complete color wheel. I'm currently serving in Pikud Ha'oref (Home Front Command), ours is orange.

Finally

I have finished Tironut. Now it's on to doing more hours on end of guard duty. It should be fun. Luckily, once i'm out of Michve Alon I'm supposedly going to be given some sort of slight vacation from the army and then sent off to my new Tafkid. I can already feel that I'm going to miss the Russians.
