After an Egyptian brokered ceasefire was accepted by the Israeli government this morning, the proposal was swiftly rejected by Hamas and met with only more indiscriminate rocket fire directed at Israel. Despite the IDF managing to hold fire for 6 hours in order to give the ceasefire a chance, predictably, it was not to be. In that same time, from Sderot to Haifa, rockets rained down upon Israel as Hamas made their intentions clear by showing no sign of curbing hostilities. Now it looks like we're back exactly where we started yesterday.
