Meanwhile in Paris

After the fiasco of last week's pro-Gaza demonstration, the Paris municipality declared that there would no repeat of such similar scenes, and controversially decided to uphold a ban on today's proposed rally. The authorities came to the realization that the incidents that unfolded last Saturday in which pro-Palestinian supporters brandished fake rockets and then attacked synagogues would simply not be allowed to happen again. Fast forward to today. Defying all official orders, protesters nonetheless returned to the streets of Paris once again in a show of thuggish behavior and violence, something that has unfortunately almost become expected at this point.
